The Museum of Health Futures made its debut at the Regional Committee Meeting (RCM) of WHO WPRO on 21-25 October 2024. Featuring 15 past and 15 future artefacts, the exhibition explored possible health futures by presenting speculative objects alongside significant public health milestones from WHO’s history. Each future artefact was paired with a first-person narrative, placing the object in a plausible future scenario and making these imagined worlds feel tangible and real.
The Museum of Health Futures intended to provide a platform to foster a rich, collaborative dialogue on future health scenarios. By embedding futures-thinking into the core of public health strategy, WPRO aimed to build a healthier, more resilient Western Pacific Region—one that is prepared to face the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.
