HeRAMS Central African Republic: Electricity access in health care facilities

December 2025

Overview

The Health Resources and Services Availability Monitoring System (HeRAMS) aims to provide decision-makers and health stakeholders at large with vital and up-to-date information on the availability of essential health resources and services, help them identify gaps, and determine priorities for intervention.

HeRAMS has been deployed in the Central African Republic since January 2022, enabling the monitoring of 1089 health service delivery units (HSDUs) across the country. This report draws on data reported up to 24 December 2025, assesses gaps and coverage in access to electricity across HSDUs at the facility, district, and national levels.

While this HeRAMS deployment remains ongoing and data verification and validation continue, the analysis presented here is not final and has been produced solely to inform operations.
