Overview

This fact sheet series documents the magnitude of environmental health inequalities within countries in the WHO European Region. Environmental health inequalities relate to socioeconomic, sociodemographic or spatial differences in exposure to environmental health risk factors and to differences in health status caused by environmental conditions. The lack of a flush toilet in the dwelling fact sheet provides available data on the unequal distribution of hygiene amenities within countries in the Region, updating earlier assessments.
