Measles in the WHO European Region: situation report 1, July 2019

Overview

Based on a risk assessment for all 53 Member States, and according to the WHO Emergency Response Framework, on 6 May 2019 WHO activated a ‘grade 2’ emergency response to the measles circulation in the European Region.This situation report of July 2019 provides an overview of the situation in the Region and several focus countries as well as efforts being taken to stop transmission and prevent future outbreaks.
